A couple of observations and suggestions. There is no shame in helping someone move but put some limits on their demands.
1. Tell her she needs to have everything packed and ready to go. If she isn’t working, I would never waste my time off packing her crap.
2. Put limits on your time. Only give her 3-4 hours tops. I helped my sister and BIL move recently but told them up front I could help from 9-2 pm and then had some other plans. I left promptly at 2 and they were still moving a day later with a bunch of garage junk.
3. Tell her to have some other people there to help. Appliances and bulky furniture are going to be too much for you and Miss Manipulative. Surely some folks from your church could help. If she can’t get anyone else to help for free then she needs to hire someone.
You have a weird dynamic going on with this lady and need to reclaim some dignity by setting some limits on her demands of your time and energy.
