Best warranty out there is the Mopar 999,000 miles or 99 years, whichever comes 1st. Transmission fixed in that time for $100. Only thing not covered is things that wear out like brakes, tires etc

People just so you know there is really no fixing a transmission. Best you can drop the pan and flush. A lot of times that can even make it worse especially as mileage gets higher. It's basically a complete rebuild or replacement job. Other things can cause shifting issues and codes to pop up but if it really is the transmission, that's it.

this is correct. Unless under warranty. Dealerships churn and burn new techs to keep costs low. The good independent shops are paying good techs 100k+. Dealers don't care if parts are thrown at it if they are getting paid anyway.

What’s a guy like you doing owning a vehicle long enough to worry about a transmission issue?

I had a new F150 in which the transmission was hesitating in 3rd gear. Truck was only 10 months old. Luckily it was under warranty and new transmission put in. Audubon Ford had the truck from May-August. Cost our company over $5K in truck rental. Would have used insurance but they kept telling us couple more weeks.

Spent 6k replacing a bad transmission in a 2016 Suburu with 80 thousand miles. Transmission’s are expensive!

The dealer is the last place you want working on your transmission, they can barely complete oil changes. Take it to a real transmission shop.

There's your problem. Buy a Chevy next time.

Oh my sweet summer child.

My company has a fleet of Ford, Chevy and Dodges and believe me...they're all pieces of shite. Every one of them end up in the shop.

What was wrong with the transmission? Sometimes it's the TCM (transmission control module.) That's a pretty easy fix, but it still costs $1k.

What exactly did they do to repair your transmission? What were the symptoms? What does the invoice say they did?

It would seem that there should have been some diagnostic done before and after. Get yourself one of those scan tools, so you can see if you're getting trouble codes.
