There were a lot of Grambling teams that would have killed LSU back in the day, so yeah.. If there wasn't segregation, LSU might have had 2 or 3 more national titles. I know its history and that's how it was, but it is crazy to think thats how things use to be,

Prove it. You're just throwing shite on the wall now.

Has anyone mentioned yet that that letter is less racist than Abraham Lincoln's presidential speeches?

Troy Middleton graduated from Mississippi State in 1909, both of his grandfathers served in the Confederate Army....

WTF is wrong with you snowflakes....this is a letter from a 71 or 72 year old man, get a grip!!

AND by 1961 standards LSU was ahead of the power curve on integration....

Well, thank goodness LSU in 2019 isn't like LSU in 1961.

Ok, I'll bite this shiny hook.

Give specific examples on your idea by comparing Lincoln's letters with Middletons.

Go on.

I was simply responding to your unintentional virtue- signaling. You asked me a question and I answered you. From now on, You should ASSUME that decent human beings hate cruelty and try not to lecture them on how to “ feel” about historical injustice as if you have stumbled on to some kind of unique empathy. It’s cheap and it’s self- reverent .

There is a GIGANTIC series of problems in black America. For all the deprivations and humiliations racist whites laid on blacks in 1961, at the same time 80% of black families were intact and blacks led meaningful lives filled with happiness and joy. The entirety of their lives was not that shitty whites were shitty to them. That did not define their lives. It was an unfortunate part of their lives.

Pandering whites endlessly ripping the scab off the racial wound isn’t going to solve anything . And Rebuilding the black American family is a black project, not something well -intentioned white people can gift them like saviors. White guilt only exacerbates it, prolongs it, and ensures that things never change.

Just keeping it real.

Tell me what meal made up of happiness and joy fills you up more than...you know...food.

100% of black people lived on died on whether a white person thought it should matter what color their skin was, including what kind of job and what kind of education.

Go on, tell me how you would like it if you couldn't not be hired for a job you wanted or send your kids to a school based on color.

Btw, are you white?

Black family life was the constant that got blacks through the historical suffering . It is precisely WHY social pathologies did not proliferate until the black family disintegrated starting in the 1960s. You may think their lives were worthless because of the humiliations they suffered, but I assure you they didn’t think that. It’s quite the White Progressive Patriarchal attitude to retroactively deprive them of the value of the lives they created for themselves. Families, Faith, communities, the normal rhythms of life. You shouldn’t try to diminish their lives like that.
