Why is this infuriating to y’all? Like is your blood pressure really rising over something that some old dude said 60 fricking years ago before any of you were born or are you just trying to make yourself feel better about being a white dude from the south? It’s not like when I read shite about Catholics being persecuted a long time ago I immediately hate everyone that was around during that time period. I just read it as a difference in historical times.

I’m thinking Troy’s line of thought regarding this was universally accepted among his peers and at most colleges and universities across the US in 1961. It’s just the way it was and not unique to LSU or the south.
