Is this your living room?

$600 a month, and that includes protein powder. I will only eat out maybe 2x a month.

I cook a good bit, but also have several protein shakes a day and go through quite a bit of fresh fruit and tubs of greek yogurt. $150-$200 grocery run gets me about two weeks and then I will eat out a couple times per week as well. Throw in a date or meeting for drinks and I can push $175 to $200 in a single week all together.
Single OTers, how much do you spend a month........
on groceries and eating out?

My grocery budget for four people is $1000/mo. Max $500 eating out.

I spend like $250-$300 on my food every month for meals at home. No snacks, no sodas, no junk.
Eating out is hard to say because a lot of those are expensed for work. I don’t really eat during the week on my own dime. On the weekends, I don’t really care how much it costs, entertainment budget at that point

I can save you a ton of money…

Is this a tree fiddy joke, because no way is a single person paying almost $25 per meal a day.
OP asked how much in groceries and going out. The wine when I go out is what drives up the weekly total

If I add it all up, probably between $60-80/week. I cook the overwhelming majority of my meals. When I eat out, it’s usually some fast casual once or twice a week. Probably have one “real” restaurant meal each month, and spend around $20-30 on that after tip.
As for my meals, I cut way back on portions last year in an attempt to get in shape (which has worked out really well so far, btw), but I tend to cook two big dishes per week and eat leftovers off them the rest of the time. I eat two meals per day, and the dishes I cook usually rotate between some kind of meat and veggies, rice and gravy, a pasta dish, sandwich/salad, or some sort of slow cooker meal.
I nearly completely cut out breakfast, dessert, liquid calories (I allow myself a limited amount of alcohol at social events), and all snacking between meals.
Despite food prices exploding the last few years, my food budget has remained the same or possibly even shrank. That means sometimes getting by with sleep for dinner.
I’m down to the lowest weight I have ever had as an adult. I still hadn’t hit my last growth spurt the last time I weighed this little.

I’d say groceries and all anywhere from 250-500 if im eating out more than normal it’ll be closer to that 500 range. I eat lunch out once per week as well as dinner. Also have a steak every Sunday or Monday and that’s not cheap.

Married with kids so I don’t know an exact number, but I’m certain if we didn’t have kids my wife and I together would be under $1000 fairly easily.

I love to cook and even joined Hello Fresh because it's quick and easy. For just me, I spend $240/mo for 8 meals a week (4 Lunches, 4 Dinners). Breakfast is a smoothie, breakfast meat, eggs and fruit. The other 3 days I cook whatever I have in the freezer/fridge and that varies. I would say I spend a total of $400/mo on groceries.

We rarely eat out. Probably once a month. That includes fast food. We spend about $700-800 on groceries for a family of 5. We do one Sam's run per month and that's the bulk of our budget.

Meal prep for Sunday-Friday and then enjoy food out on Saturday.
Although, i really don’t enjoy enjoy going out to eat anymore cause of the cost.

I do the same. I usually get a bunch of chicken breasts, eggs and salmon then freeze the meat in portions for two. It's a lot cheaper than grabbing whatever you feel like eating at the local grocery store. For red meat we use deer meat and I usually kill a 5 or 6 hogs per year for pork. I meal prep one of my daily breakfasts and two of my daily lunches on Sundays so I'm not having to go out for lunch while at work. My wife and I go to a lil pizza place that has a half off happy hour on Fridays. We can split a pizza for $10-$15. Other than the cheap Friday pizza, special occasions, and travel we rarely eat out.

Food is one area where I don't like to skimp. I hate that prices have risen so much, but if I need to get protein in and steak has gone up, I guess my bill has gone up?
The most I will do is substitute certain name brand items for generic.
Some name brands are non-negotiable however
Pepperidge Farms Sourdough
Kraft American Cheese Slices for burgers
Blue Plate Mayo
BPN Protein Powder
Others arent. I want the cheapest plain greek yogurt, cheapest low fat cottage cheese, etc.
I don't think it's useful to watch the grocery bill like a hawk anymore.
