Since when did we forsake ourselves and take Christianity out of Easter?

Everywhere I go, all the social media I look at it’s all about candy, eggs, the Easter bunny. The eradication of Christianity and the lost meaning of meaningful holidays is so disappointing. This county is turning into hell in a hand basket.

Easter has been commercialized for decades, but I’m really not seeing a non-religiously-dominated Easter these days. Not like it is with Christmas.

This holiday has ALWAYS been about rebirth
That's why early Christians used the Spring celebration for the resurrection of Christ. It's what ancient people would recognize and accept (due to all the religions of their era using the Spring in the same way)

Exactly! The whole “Xmas” thing is a perfect example. They play it off like it’s a quick and convenient way to write Christmas, but it’s plainly obvious what they’re crossing out with that x.
