That's why early Christians used the Spring celebration for the resurrection of Christ. It's what ancient people would recognize and accept (due to all the religions of their era using the Spring in the same way)


Somewhat - but this really is the correct time of year. It's Passover right now and Easter is supposed to be the new Passover. (In Romance languages the name of the holiday is based on Passover instead of Oestre.)

Agreed. As a kid, our baskets were always candy and a single, simple toy - like a single gi-joe figure or a 5 pack of Hotwheels.

Mostly I just wanted my peanut butter egg and maybe a Heavenly Hash.

I wouldn’t say its completely gone, my mom came over this morning to give the kids Easter candy and jumped my arse because I decided to mow grass today.
