Trying to find a freezer and apparently only floor displays are kept in stores anymore. This appeasement of lazy fat people is bs.

Been that way for a few years now. Aggravating as hell...then like the cable guy, delivery in a week or so between 8 and 4....

Probably about the same time car dealers decided they no longer needed to have any vehicles actually on their lots.

Okay...you lost me here.

How is a store not stocking appliances the fault of "lazy fat people"?

Do "lazy fat people" own the store or something?

Tell me about it. I tried to buy a margarita maker and the salesman told me I had to leave the immigration office.

Been that way for a few years. Might have better luck with a local appliance dealer.

Not sure how that affects appliances being in stock or not

It’s cheaper for the store. Storage space = $$$. That’s why Costco is killing it. They are a retail warehouse where they make money on entrance fees.

COVID gave stores and restaurants the excuse to provide crap customer service, not carry any inventory, and blame everything on supply chain issues.

Truth is there is a crappy attitude in business these days of F the customer, not even going to try to meet their needs. Stores don't even really work for your business anymore because there is just a lack of competition.

You can have appliances delivered to these stores for free and held for you. You then go pick it up at your convenience.

This is pretty normal these days not to have a bunch of inventory sitting at the stores.

Went to look for new mattress. Every store is a month to two before delivery. A few weeks I could understand but over a month waiting is crazy.

Real Reason: The ships with the appliances are still stuck offshore waiting to be unloaded.

We should have an appliance party in the harbor

Where you located at fella? I’m in Bogalusa and I could have a new freezer in my house by 815 in the morning. Of course it’s a mom and pop place.

My freezer in the garage went out. When I went shopping for another one, absolutely nobody had one in stock. I was forced to buy a used one. It’s crazy.

Why buy a mattress from a local store. All brands can be ordered online for half the price and delivered to your front door before the stores can get it
