If you fail to show up for work, you will be fired 'for cause'. BK may have physically been there, but from the reports, he may as well not even showed up.

re: Ross Dellenger article

It is a Ross Dellenger article, so of course it is complete shite.
If T-Bob said it, there is 0% chance it is true.
Give him an interview if for nothing more than to plant the seed for the future should that time arise.

How damned tone def can he be? "Bad things on campus - let me assure you we're still doing what we were doing when those things happened." How pathetic.

re: Anyone had rotator cuff surgery?

Posted by Melkor on 10/5/25 at 5:10 pm to
Just had my 4th but 3 (and at least one more to come for reconstruction) are due to (1) being infected with MRSA in the first surgery (2) the doc refusing to act in a timely manner, thereby letting it fester and infect my bones. Extremely painful and sleep near impossible most of the time. Last surgery, went to a new surgeon and had to remove the infected bone and put in an antibiotic spacer. If you are unfortunate enough to go through this, don't play around - go to the Tulane medical facility, as they have the best doctor for these situations. Stay FAR away from BROC - at least one doc there could not care less about you, be it pain, infection, possible loss of limb, or even possible loss of life.
It takes roughly 4 to 4.5 seconds to cover 100 yards at 40-50mph. If two cars are approaching at the same speed, it is half that for them to collide. IOW, this is lawyer talk for a jury that can't math; it is still very likely that his actions (being in tne wrong lane / passing) are the reason the other cars swerved as stated. It doesn't mean the car that went left isn't at fault too (tailgating, going into head on traffic), but the inital reports still have bearing.

I've had coding samples created from 'AI' that "implemented" the main work by calling an API that does not exist. Pointing that out, it made up a new API that also did not exist.

AI is garbage and only serves as the latest catch phrase / fad for corporations.

re: CEOs make too much money

Posted by Melkor on 8/5/25 at 9:41 pm to
I've worked for a ...very.. long time at such a company, having seen good and bad CEOs. Our current CEO's greatest assest is literally shutting up (something the prior one could not do). Despite catch phrases like "innovate", "lead", etc, truth is, all we do is follow others or buy them up - and it works astonishingly well, as our stock is doing wonderfully.

So is the CEO worth his pay? Not even remotely. Then why do they get paid so much? Simple - the business management virus, ie. people in management with no actual skills. These people believe they can manage others / a business just by numbers, without any clue about what the employees actually do much less how they do it.vThe worst aspect of these types is the virus aspect, where they hire and expand their kind. Check the history of the big companies and it is always the same; as their size grew, their overhead - ie these types - grows exponentially.

What does this have to do with CEO pay? Who you think is on the board or managing controling shares? The same people that when they were in turn hired people like themm etc, etc, and then made one the CEO.

Deport his arse too.
Went to the aquarium recently. The touch pool was cool but other than that, avoid it. The thing is small and for a family of 5, was $200. Very much not worth it.
It takes a special kind of retard to see something working and then claim it is not. Damn, you're a dumbass.
So the plan is to remove cardon dioxide - the thing plants breathe - from the air in a huge aggricultural state. Hmm, I wonder what the outcome / real goal here could be?

re: Same sex marriages

You don't - they're not married, no matter what the batshit crazies say.
You should do a fantasy football draft where you bid on players - not a snake draft.

If you had, you'd know cost are never spread evenly. Some dumbass will go all in on one player. Once he does that, the next dumbass will go hard on their player. With a large enough league, before you know it, all the big names are gone.

But here's the deal... if you are smart with your bidding, you'll be able to get a ton of the next tier players and you'll win the league.

This is where LSU is at right now. Let Michigan over pay for Underwood and blow their wad. Same with Texas and a few more. Then go after all the rest and cash in.
