Actually, my checking account pays 8%, as long as there is one direct deposit a month and 15 debit card transactions. Kinda hard to replicate that in rewards on a CC.
Now I will admit it is limited to $35k.

Sounds like people still paying with cash/debit haven't caught on and thats thier problem
They probably have bad credick and can't get approved for a credit card. Or at least not one with decent rewards programs.

Blockchain payment networks such as Polygon can process payments for fractions of a cent. By using stablecoins, customers and merchants can transact digitally without the price volatility often associated with cryptocurrencies. Modern payment platforms handle the blockchain technology in the background, allowing users to pay with a simple app, QR code, or wallet just as easily as using a credit card. The result is faster settlement, dramatically lower processing costs, and a simple payment experience.

Lots of minorities/poor folks do.
Do you realize how stupid you are?
I am far from poor and I use mostly cash.

But if you could Thanos snap all credit cards out of existence, the retailers would still maintain the current prices and pocket the profits
If you eliminated credit cards the demand for most goods and services would plummet.

So what do you want a medal old man? I was stating minorities and poor folks use cash because they have to, not because they want to.

I find myself more mindful of my purchases when I use cash. It's so easy to swipe a card and sometimes forget about the small but wasteful spending.

I remember when it used to be extremely rare to ever see an establishment add a surcharge when using a credit card. Hell, I think I even started a thread here a few years ago the first time I saw it on the menu at a semi-upscale kinda place, thinking how cheesy that seemed.
Now, it's hard to find a place that DOESN'T do that.
I guess most people dont know how it works with CC processing companies work when you own a business.
They consistently find ways to drain every possible drop they can out of the business. Vast majority of my clients use credit cards and that percentage has continued to go up over time.
You agree to fee percentages to start that basically become imaginary. They then send you a statement with varying fee amounts and percentages to make it confusing as possible. Not too long ago, without notice, they started charging me to store clients CC info in addition to the CC surcharge.
So its easy to see why business make the decision to pass along the CC charge to the client or offer a debit/cash/check discount. As time goes on the business are losing more profit on CC purchases just so the client can get rewards points.

Dude quit being a twat. If you want to handcuff yourself to a piece of plastic go right ahead. But just know you are doing nothing but hurting yourself. Good luck when you get hacked and they still your information plus drain your account. You are the motherfrickers I laughed during hurricanes who couldn’t buy shite because their card wouldn’t work. Oh and if you think we are headed for a cashless society good luck with that one also. No way the cartels allow that to happen.
