If smoking weed is keeping him from employment he shouldn't be smoking. The high level executive is not being drug tested.

Once again, the war on the poor. I feel so much better knowing that a person that makes 6 figures and oversees the entire company can do blow off the back of the toilet, but the dude stocking shelves for $8 an hour can't have a joint when he gets home.

I would much rather medicate my anxiety and back pain with some good medical weed, over these terrible pharmaceutical drugs
You answered your own question

Seriously, why is weed still not legal on a federal level?

In a way yes. By keeping weed illegal we are trying to prevent the younger generations from getting locked into the yoke of addiction

So, many of you are happy about your paycheck going to pay stoners to play x-box while you work two jobs. Got it!
If you incentivize lassitude and sloth you get more of it.
Anyone who wants to work full time and smoke weed nightly is ok by me.

And looking at that thread a lot of opposers seem to say that they oppose it because it makes people "dumb" (lol so conservative) and that it's a drain on society etc etc. Totally ignoring the fact that the most prominent legal states (CO, WA and CA) are in the top 10 just about every single year in GDP growth, unemployment and population growth since legalizing.
I'm conservative as it gets and I think legalization is way past due, as does a majority of the country (including many conservatives). You have to wonder what it takes to get to a tipping point on this issue. Polls are already at something like 60+ percent in favor. Should that not be enough for Congressional action?

How does that work? A joint compared to a beer? Or highball?

You think? People die of alcohol with drawl and alcohol poisoning. It is a fricking travesty that weed is illegal and alcohol isn't. I love them both, but to say that that they are on the same level to contributing to social ills is just false.

As someone whose pay in his current position might be threatened by legalization, I fully support it.
I've been called a death dealer before, but I also work in East Texas.
The effects of weed are better in almost every measurable way.

Welfare is a much bigger issue than weed.
I personally have no issue with slackers, as long as they're not subsidized
