Because Republicans need a boogeyman for thier non-thinking base and a source to feed the prison-industrial complex that donates to them.

But I also would like to go into a weed shop that I know exactly what I am getting and know that it isn’t sprayed with something etc (having to deal with street dealers)
Is this a thing?
Posted on 2/7/18 at 6:40 pm to Mr. Hangover
No, it is not a thing. The closest 'thing' to it may be some kind of water-weight and scented spray, but no drug dealer on earth is giving away free fricking product.

There are a lot of stupid big government rednecks on that board. None have the balls to come on here and defend keeping weed illegal

Multiple reasons.
Government wants their piece of the pie upfront and in perpetuity, but not in the form of it decreasing monies already brought in through taxes for bullshite reasons they've already made up.

Only left off one. The alcohol lobby. I haven't looked, but I would imagine that alcohol sales are down in places that weed is legal.

Alcohol and tobacco can easily implement Mary Jane into their products.
