I have a cousin whose wife insists on mowing. I don't think he has been on a mower in 25 years. I bet if he got on it and started cutting she'd hit him with something. I rag him about it all the time, but he legit isn't allowed to cut grass.

I take care of the yard. The wife likes to pressure wash and pull weeds.

My wife said if we had one of those small "Zero Turns" she'd mow the grass. I bought a brand new 42" welded deck Toro for $3,300 that next day. I haven't had to mow the grass since...either her or our kids do the work. I thought she just hated yard work but no she just didn't want to be seen on the 60" beat to hell Gravely we had. Easy fix. Good investment as far as im concerned. Moved the Gravely to the camp. :)

That’s almost as beta as having your ole lady drive yall around.
Might as well let them pump the gas and open the door for you while you’re at it.

she wanted to pay $40 for hot pilates. This kills two birds one stone

Absolutely not. She's not allowed on my mower because she fricked the lawn up too much

Man’s work. Basic respect for a woman unless she’s into it. Women can do the weeding or beds. I just did my front yard- my advice- don’t skimp on the ant poison. Big mistake.

Hell no. She rode around on the zero turn for 30 minutes and I needed new blades.
I’m still 50/50 on whether or not they do that shite intentionally so they don’t have to do whatever it is again.

My wife loved weed eating and edging so I would mow and she would do that....now we have a yard guy lol

When I was younger, I thought sexy women were the ones I’d see in Victoria’s Secret catalog.
Now that I’m older with a 3 acre yard, there’s nothing sexier than a sweaty woman on a zero turn, cutting the yard for me

We both mow and do yard work depending on schedule.

I was raised dad works in the yard mom points where she wants the plants to be planted, bring water and lunch, and when it’s time to get some A/c because it’s too damn hot.

Don’t want my wife fricking up my mower.

I’ve had Zero Turn mowers for 15-16 years, mowing 5 acres.
My wife got a wild hair she wanted a Zero Turn of her own.I didn’t argue, went to mower shop and she picked out a Tiger Cat 2,48 inch deck.
She mows a couple of the 5 acres, doesn’t hurt my feelings. She enjoys it .

My new neighbor does this.. he is a big guy.. was a lineman for his college.. but his wife does the yard work.
first time I saw her out there I was surprised .. she is an entitled person..
he is a bubba..
he puts the lawn mower and weed wacker in his truck.. ( we have alleys where your garage is)… drives around .. parks in front of his house.. wife cuts the grass .. he sometimes weed wacks… he will be in full long sleeves shirts and pants … camo.. bucket hat, safety glasses.. and moth cover….
She pushes it a few inches.. pulls back .. then pushes again.. like you would be vacuuming..

I've never seen a yard crew use a proper edger.
Combination of experience, staying on schedule, and legit equipment probably keeps them from needing to use a proper edger.
I have a shitty cheap battery powered Ryobi weed eater and don't edge weekly. If I try to flip it on the side and edge, I need to go over the crawler a few times to get them to cut. With the edger, I can just walk at a slow pace one time and be done.
