I agree, but given his size, his previous rap sheet, the fact that he was sky high, and likely had low impulse control, those factors mitigate somewhat the officers actions. The officer shouldn't have restrained him with such aggression but this very large and powerful man still needed to be restrained. The officer was stuck between a rock and a hard place and was walking a fine line.

So fricking what if he did
How you even try and justify the actions even the slightest bit is beyond me

Is that a public execution by cop offense?

Doesn’t excuse the cops
But my goodness I wish we would stop acting like this guy is any more special than say, the people that have died in the riots
A real lesson can be learned about putting yourself in a bad situation, but it’s lost.

I can think of literally hundreds of better ways than choking him to death.

Having meth should not even result in handcuffs. But being on meth makes you do some dumb arse shite.

Why were the police arresting him over an allegedly counterfeit $20 bill that wasn’t even fake? Why weren’t they just taking a statement or issuing a citation? What purpose was an arrest accomplishing in that instance?
It doesn’t matter if he was on drugs or not. The encounter was unnecessary and so was the use of force to choke him.

Cops have been arrested, guy had funeral, cities destroyed so can we move on now?

even if they did, the man asked/begged multiple times he couldn’t breathe and to get the officers knee off of his neck. The cops don’t care and continue to be aggressive and restrict his ability to breathe. That’s not manslaughter. That’s murder
Didn't Floyd first say he couldn't breath before arrest?
What in a crazy scenario Chauvin did remove his knee after he complained for a bit about inability to breath and he still then died?

Under this line of thinking cops it’s ok for cops to kill anyone with a rap sheet or who does drugs.
