Also turns our per autopsy he had meth and phentynal in his system: Surprise, Surprise.

He had a rap sheet a mile long. The head of the Minneapolis police union has spoken out.

Still no reason to kneel on a dudes neck after he's in cuffs. They kneel on him to neutralize the threat of him resisting and to get the cuffs on. Once thats done get the hell off.

And BTW where is the pity for the poor police officer whose life is now ruined. Divorced and set to serve a life's imprisonment where he will likely be tortured and abused by his fellow inmates. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

We should be celebrating the fact that police brutality against blacks has gone down exponentially in the past decade, not torching our cities. This has to stop.

Why does he deserve any of my pity?

I feel kind of bad for the guy who was on his 3rd shift that allegedly questioned their actions.

It doesn't justify his death but it paints a clearer picture of why he was resisting (already been to prison twice for cocaine) and why his heart gave out (hopped up on drugs + the knee).

The video doesn't show that at all. Nothing's going to excuse the guy being murdered just minutes later.

Do the cops?

A lot of "peaceful" protesters do not think so.

It was the knee choke that killed him, no matter how much you wish it didn't.

The officer shouldn't have restrained him with such aggression but this very large and powerful man still needed to be restrained. The officer was stuck between a rock and a hard place and was walking a fine line.

That ends up being a wasted load of words when Floyd was without a freaking pulse for ~3 minutes. Even Daniel Cormier needs no restraint with cuffs on and no pulse.

Well if the woman who was in the house he broke in and assaulted and robbed in houston would have shot him maybe we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Him being a model citizen and all.

True, but also we are a country ruled by laws (not men) so why are the rioters that are being arrested release without bail.

They should be prosecuted as well.

Having drugs in his system helps explain his resistance. But it doesn’t explain why the cop knelt on his neck that long.

They'll still be issued summonses for court dates, but there just isn't a cash bond requirement for their release.

Is it like 12 minutes per mile the he can get away with the knee? 15 mins?
