CBS News link

I had a paper straw ruin an iced coffee a few weeks back. Terrible.

Maybe pasta straws will be passable.

The Emerald City will become the first major U.S. metropolitan area to enact a ban on plastic straw and utensils when the law goes into effect on July 1

So what is going to happen to those who don't comply to Seattle's new environmentally-friendly ban? The city isn't planning to fine violators, but will work with restaurants using single-use straws and utensils to assist them in making the switch

Soon they will ban toilet paper. Bare-hand wiping will be lawful.

These idiots in Seattle don’t realize there’s infinitely more water than trees

They are recycled. I’ve used them before. I didn’t see a problem at all.

I used those recycled paper straws in Cali a couple weeks back. One of them disintegrated as soon as liquid touched in. TURRIBLE

And they have a weird texture.

You're better off just having lids that don't require a straw, or drinking straight from the cup.

At least they aren't throwing servers in prison like California was proposing.
