Kids have been asked to cut their hair by schools for years.

Tell us about pre-integration and your thoughts on how those folks should have just kept their mouths shut and followed the rules.

I mean, you've made it pretty clear that you feel if a school puts a rule in place then it should just be followed and that's that, no questions asked.

I obviously, and half jokingly took it to an extreme, but it still points out that just because a rule is put in place does not make it right. And yet again to be pointed out, he did follow the rule.

yeah, frick rules that every kid but this prince has to follow

This is the O-T, the average dolt on here watches Entertainment Tonight and Jimmy Kimmel. Understanding rules and societal norms is frowned upon by the Hollyweird crowd / MSM they get their marching orders from. You are correct but wasting your time.

You're an idiot. They changed the rule during Christmas break. I can go along with a rule change between school years but not this.

When you say it like this, it sounds like you weren't very happy about it.

Every year there is some kid who wants to do something that is against the hygene/dress code/ rules of the school and they make it out to be some racial or cultural issue. It is not. It is simply "here are the rules" that all the kids are following accept this kid. It is like prom season when one kid wants to wear a kilt and screams about how his culture is being oppressed, or the kid who has long hear, or the kid who wants to where shorts, etc. The school has rules follow them.

what I meant, in general is that part of the education process is learning what's worth falling on your sword over and what isn't, I have learned that there's very few worthwhile things, career wise, in life that do not have some sort of standards, rules/regs, education/continuing education requirements, if his objective is to grow hair and this is the battle he's chosen, good on him

just because a rule is put in place does not make it right

I'll buy that, but until there is impetus to change that rule, it's still their rule, if the kid's rational, in a few years he'll look back and wonder what the big deal was, on their part and his, I remember rules that I thought were stupid when I was a kid and I realized how everything is temporary and dynamic, again, you have to learn how to prioritize, part of the learning process

I may have posted before I saw this but obviously someone at the school doesn't think he's in compliance, when I was a kid long hair was a big thing, I wanted long hair but I wanted to play sports more, when I got out of college long hair was still in but I wanted to fly fast jets more

Did you even read? The rule was changed during the middle of the school year after he has been in compliance all year long.

Walking for graduation is the stupidest waste of time on the planet and we should instill in our children the strength to walk away when they are being leveraged to do something against their principles.

Do they have the same hair length regulations for all male students?

Yes: Then there is no problem.

No: Then there is a problem.

So, I wear pants to work. If I didn't wear pants to work, my arse would show, and that would be a violation of our dress code. So does this mean my firm can get me in trouble for violating the dress code?

Not a great comparison. With his hair down is he exposing anything inappropriate?
