Same! We are in Southpointe...surrounded by water. The property we built our house on didn't flood in Katrina (supposedly) but so much development has occurred here since then that I don't trust flooding not being an issue here at some point...I'm hoping it won't be for Sally though.

Just dawned on me that 'southpoint" might not be the greatest place to live during hurricane season! lol

Nice! We are in Palmetto point, just up the road from you towards 90. We were told the same but who knows. Likely going to take off - worried more about lack of power for a period of time then anything. You guys sticking it out?

Hancock County, around Bay St. Louis and Waveland:

Doesn't take much to flood in some areas down there.

Yes we are going to stay as of now. We are so close to the edge of dodging a lot of this...but also could take it square on the chin.

Remember Hurricane Georges

I remember when those seeking shelter in the Dome tore it all up and raided the liquor stashes in the suites

They complained because they only had hot dogs to eat.

that a south movement? Almost looks WSW movement. I know slight.

I think it just appears that way due to convection building on the south side

Anyone with experience of these storms in St Bernard? I’m fairly new the area as in the last few years. Currently only a mile from Mereaux on the west side of it. Based off of the track it looks like it’s going to shave my part of the map. What do y’all think I can expect here. I’m trying to decide if I need to leave or just ride it out.

My thoughts on the landmass haven't changed. They've been lined up to be in the shite for days.

I wasn’t saying they deserved mention.

Felicia Wombs is in New Orleans with her ponytail blowing in the wind.

Grip it and rip it.

How close are you to Graveline Bayou? I used to live in that area before moving closer towards the downtown area.

Was watching Mike on Facebook. He said that the eye was found to be a little further east. Said landfall closer to MS/AL line a possibility. Guess we’ll see at 4pm track. Any of our weather experts see this as a real possibility?

A block or two from Graveline bayou but the land is raised some in this section. Who knows though - I know our house was built up to get out of the 500 year zone.

EDIT: I stand corrected maybe, if the bayou is just south of Graveline bay, I am a ways from it. I am a block or two from the body of water that feeds into the bay from the North... no idea what it is called (and that is embarassong lol)

Some friends have a place in Bay St Louis. Pics they took yesterday showed water rising on the streets near their camp not too far from there.

It’s probably likely at this point barring a steering change
