I live in the St. Andrews area of O.S. I can’t get a definitive answer on the surge situation here. I downloaded 4 different altitude apps. I am at about 16’ above sea level. I’m hoping they are accurate. I’m not seeing 15’ or 16’ of surge with this thing. Brady’s in Pascagoula is very good, by the way!

west end of Dauphin Island is already mostly gone so this track is not going to bode well for them unfortunately. Might be a few less beach house rentals for the snowbirds this winter.

I think you(we) are going to be fine at that elevation from the surge.

Anyone with experience of these storms in St Bernard? I’m fairly new the area as in the last few years. Currently only a mile from Mereaux on the west side of it. Based off of the track it looks like it’s going to shave my part of the map. What do y’all think I can expect here. I’m trying to decide if I need to leave or just ride it out.

I'm not far from you, just a bit east, and I am staying. Prepare for 3-4 days of no power. Have some food and water and ice. Bring in anything outside that might fly around or get stuck in a drain.

Looks like tomorrow a few hours of 35-40 mph winds and maybe some heavy rain bands. That could knock out power, and could flood some streets for a while.

Its mostly a sand spit, so this is not a surprise. Can’t believe anyone is foolish enough to keep building there.

So the new Euro model has this thing stalling out then swinging north to make landfall late Wednesday night near Mobile. That’s going to be a shitload of rain and water headed for FL, AL and MS....we are talking about 2+ feet

Insignificant, yet nice breeziness.

Dauphin Island has been there for 100's of years. It's not going anywhere.

We don't use the HRRR for hurricanes.

Also, it's going to be wobbly as the core forms. The general movement is a slow WNW.
