Do you put much faith in these GFS ensembles?

Faith isn't the right word. It's a display of spreads of outcomes based on altering some assumptions, model physics perimeters, initial conditions, ect. The idea is to display a spread of possible outcomes. The current GEFS is underdeveloped, meaning it probably doesn't show enough spread but this version is pretty close to the possible spread being so close to landfall.

Duke, interesting to me when looking at the tropical storm force wind shading on the advisory, they actually extend pretty far west of the indicated center. Keep thinking on the northshore we won’t really get anything but if that orange shading is accurate we should see a good period of TS force winds, fair assessment?

Do yall see any chances of I-10 closing down heading east on Thursday morning?

How does Mobile's tunnel fair in this type of storm or past storms / flooding events?

TIA

For anyone interested in understanding how models work, and how they are put together, this is a great explanation from one of the brightest minds in that field right now, Jack Sillin. Bookmark it and watch it later. It is complicated stuff, but they do a good job of explaining it.

Where on the Northshore. The TS wind odds drop rapidly from Slidell to Madisonville.

It depends on how east it is. Farther west, higher odds of TS winds. In general though, things are looking better and better for NS impacts at this time.

Whoever dialed this up for sure brought the colleagues around the screen and had a good laugh. And then they said go ahead, release it to the public, chuckle, chuckle.

The bad thing about living in Fairhope is if you are without power, the crews will be out replanting flowers and doing former mayor Kant's bidding.

Does Mobile still have the group of folks who spend the night on the battleship during an approaching hurricane, or was that some kind of weird urban legend?

My thoughts on the landmass haven't changed. They've been lined up to be in the shite for days.
