So HC has more high school students than BM? Damn, they came back strong as frick.
Last year was the first year in HC's 160+ years that they actually had to turn down applications. They are opening the Primary in August and the classes filled up in less than 3 weeks. I know HC is sometimes an afterthought in the NOLA Catholic school circles but what they are doing right now is very impressive. Not to mention what that campus has done for the neighborhood.

Br has Lee( a new magnet) and McKinley gifted program , which has higher scores then brmhs

Are you from BR? But yes, I graduated from BRMHS and I hated it. I wouldve preferred Catholic or even fricking Broadmoor. U high or Dunham .I wanted to play sports and hang with normal dudes, not with asian nerds and hispters. Also, BRMHS lacked in the hot white girl category

My experience has been that Jesuit, BM, HC and Rummel, at least in the past, prepared the students who wanted to go pre-med and had the aptitude for it equally well. Of course Jesuit is going to have more students with the right aptitude because they have more kids from white collar families. I don't believe the curriculum is significantly different.

WTH is going on with DLS? Why does nobody care?
Got bad publicity from American Horror Story or wikipedia?

In popular culture, it is featured in the TV show American horror story, season 3 (Coven). A black hairdresser of Marie Laveau says her son had his first day at the high school, which was recently integrated (it is immediately learned that he was lynched).

It's hard for me to know exactly what you're referring to, but Rummel looks like a giant shithole compared to HC.

I took that to mean build a new campus.

Get flooded, receive a shitload of FEMA money, relocated to a more convenient location and rebuild?

Exactly ... It's basically just a waiting game for Rummel now

I've heard that Jesuit is taking a harder look at CBS students due to some recent problems with the students coming from there.
I don't think there is a problem with CBS students. CBS expanded a few years ago, and Jesuit just can't take all of them anymore. They may take 80 CBS kids, but they now decline 10-15. There are also other schools that are now sending kids to Jesuit that never traditionally sent many, decreasing the spots for others. For example, Trinity Episcopal, which usually sends most of its graduates to Newman, has sent 8-10 boys a year to Jesuit each of the last 2 years.

If rummels numbers are low then how is st Aug? Since they have to cut out their middle school.
And shaw and de la salle?

Rummel lost what they had when they thought it was a good idea to fire all the the teachers that have been there for a decade or longer for these 20 something year old lazy asses who don't teach anything. It's been downhill ever since
Good lord, when did they do that?

You can get to the Ivy League from any school.
The reason to go to a Catholic school in NOLA is that a)they generally are good schools and b)the Catholic education.
The tuition at Jesuit and Brother Martin et al is lower than what they could charge, and they give schollies, in order to make the catholic education available to those of limited means (something in which the Catholic Church, thankfully, has always had a steadfast interest)
Newman and Country Day serve a niche - a) they are good schools; b)they AREN'T religious based; and c)the high tuition keeps out more of the riff raff.

Every school looks like a giant shithole compared to a brand new facility... Nice comparison...
