It’s bad policy, but so are special tax breaks. Just get rid of the tax breaks.
This business of throwing one person’s tax liabilities onto the backs of others is ridiculous. ...

How about some Andrew Vaughn, Astros? .900 OPS in June. Any reasonable offer accepted.
Sox are going to draft Jac in a couple of weeks, and he'll be ready to go by 2026....

re: How do you feel about college football fans rooting for a team but didn't attend?

Forget Joe Burrow. Do you really believe that most LSU (or Alabama, or whomever) fans actually went to school there?

Well, you’re the one pulling the race card.
The problem is is just like the other poster said. So many players just turned to crap so quickly. They never had any depth so they couldn’t overcome it. ...
re: UL softball coach Gerry Glasco has an offer on the table from Texas Tech

I'm sure you can blame administration on a lot of things (as can most schools), but one thing you can't blame them for is your softball program. You have a first class facility and first class coach.
What it lacks is something only the fans, not administration, can give: NIL money.

Well, when you program directly against the other (and stronger) company, there will be a winner and a loser.
Once the NWO had run its course, it was over....

re: LA Racing loosens drug regulations

It’s ridiculous. It is and it’s going to drive the out-of-state trainers out of fairgrounds. At a time when they need more of them, not less.
If they want to make Evangeline and Delta Downs playpens for the good old boys, fine. But leave Fairgrounds out of it....

Half a mile from an elementary school. If we have to have these chemical plants, that insist on thrusting their business costs onto others, at least there should be a large safe zone.
North By Northwest
North by Northwest is my favorite movie of all time. The plot doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it is interesting. I love the cinematography of mid-century Americana. The United Nations, the trains, the redcoats, the cornfield and then Mt Rushmore.

re: Would you be in favor of another College Baseball tournament(like the NIT) for baseball?

re: Does the Pac 12 survive if they closed the deal with Texas and Oklahoma 12-15 years ago?

Yes, but that would’ve required good leadership. And if they had good leadership, they would have survived, regardless of Texas and Oklahoma.
The league that should’ve collapsed as the big 12. They lost all of their water carriers. Still, ESPN gave them a huge contract - a much better contract ...

I would say that Pierce level teams are an acceptable outcome. If that’s the goal, we’re likely to fall short of it....
