My buddy and I were robbed at gunpoint when we were in the 11th grade. Walked out of a store downtown. Guy came up trying to sell us some booger sugar and when we said no and got in the car he hoped in the backseat. Pulled out a gun and tried to my buddy drive to some sketchy part of town. My buddy said f it and gunned it towards a gas station. The guy grabbed a broken cd deck on the back seat and barrel rolled out of the car.

ETA: if there is one sumbitch I hate, it's a thief. I always carry something with me.

Makes me want to take couple redneck pals to city park tonight around 1230 and play Chris Hanson, armed robbery style.

But then I just realized I don't give a F about Nola.

Glad you're ok op.

In NOLA we stopped an armed robbery and I had my purse snatched fifty feet from an armed security guard who had just spoken to the minority teenager who then ran at me and grabbed my purse.

I was robbed at gunpoint (to my face) as I got into my car at a major shopping center in Houston at 5:15 pm, midsummer by a minority with unhealthy grayish skin and the shakes.

I survived that and was just so damned glad to be alive. No really bad nightmares from it until the purse snatching, and then lots of memories came back, none of them good.

You might. I've heard the beds in prison aren't that comfortable.

o what I've learned on the OT is that just about every city in the South is a shithole. Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mobile, Birmingham, Jackson, Memphis, etc are all shitholes.

I guess we'd all be better off living in small redneck towns.

And don't forget everything out west is a liberal dump according to the OT.

On a somber note, my mom worked at a bank in one of the small redneck towns and was robbed twice in two years. The second one shook her up so bad that she quit working and retired.

Let’s face it—-Black criminality has made vast swaths of New Orleans and Baton Rouge “ no go “ zones. And as an added bonus, we get Armies of thug - apologists making excuses for them while slurring you. It’s an upside- down world because Progressivism can’t handle facts and objective truth. But it sure can make excuses and slur innocent people. Crime- we can live with, honestly discussing crime- that’s racist.

To be honest, it's not unusual for a lot of people to be at City Park at night. There are three wedding reception/party venues out there that are booked pretty much every weekend.
There is also a Morning Call that is open 24 hours that stays pretty busy.

I'm not blaming the OP one bit. It sucks that he came across some of Nola's scum.

Once he retreated the danger was no longer imminent. You can’t go back to the scene and kill someone and claim self defense. If he had a gun when the robbery occurred he could have killed the guy without any fear of prosecution.

But hey, Whatever makes you feel better.

We all now you love Nola and it just kills your little soul that others call it for what it is.

Probably a dumb question but what good is an iPhone to someone that can’t open it?

ETA: and sounds like OP was on the bench trying to get a little sumpin’ sumpin’ when it went down

If you feel like searching you can probably read the old Denham Springs news archives and find that around 1996/97 a bank on Range Ave. was robbed twice.
They were working out of a temporary trailer building while a new branch was being built.

You are probably a redneck and have your feelings hurt about this for some reason.

Sometimes you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A cousin's husband is a captain with the JPSO. Late one night he goes to Walmart to get something his daughter needs the next day at school. He's not in uniform, not carrying, and goes in his daughter's car because she was blocking in his police in it in the driveway. He makes h is purchase, and is walking back the car, when a model citizen comes from between 2 cars, ho,do a gun to the side of his head and steels his wallet, wedding ring, and watch. An accomplice pulls up, the model citizen jumps in, and they take off. He gets the license plate number, the car was reported stolen a few days earlier.

This guy was a sheriff's office captain and he couldn't do shite without his gun on him.

Yes, I was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on the corner where Fountainbleau, Napoleon and Broad Streets intersect. This was in the late 70’s. 4 or 5 boys surrounded me and one pointed a gun at me. I was very calm too and gave them what they asked for. They were caught and the one with the gun was 12 years old.

I had PTSD for about 18 months after that (I don’t think PTSD existed at the time).

Only on here. It's fun fcking with them.

Most are good guys so I have no "hatred". He's the one who brought up his redneck friends in this thread so I went with it.
