The guy was unhinged. He wasn’t unhinged BECAUSE he was a liberal, he was a crazy person who happened to be a liberal. His political rhetoric coincided with him going crazy, and it was made public on social media for all to see.

The funny thing is that if you were to remove names and post a lot of the ranting, this could 100% be said about Donald Trump. His babbling often fits right in with the politically unhinged and perpetually angry rantings of random broken people on social media.

It’s terrible. It just seems like we’ve gone crazy as a society.

when you’ve lost James Woods…

Meathead was obsessed with Trump, though. Apparently, Trump took that personally.

As he should have. Reiner has said some truly awful things about Trump over the years.

What it doesn't do is excuse what he posted. That was vile.

At some point, one side has got to stop with the gotchas.

People are saying vile shite about Reiner online because others were saying vile shite about Charlie Kirk. It's a cycle until the next death.

We have got to stop this.

There’s nothing wrong with saying a guy was an a-hole after they were dead.

Acting deranged over Trump tweets is woke losing political strategy. Be better Libs. Or keep losing

It could be said about lots of folks, even some in this thread. When there’s anything remotely political, they attack with their views, facts be damned. Perception is reality. When people die, they leave a legacy based on their identity. When you identify with politics, it will be brought up in your wake. I think it’s natural and appropriate to associate Reiner with politics. Anybody who keeps up knows that he has been a bit “out there” in recent years.

Yeah he was. Said terrible things and perpetuated many lies in the service of his political ideology. He was not a good person. Still a terrible way to go being stabbed by your own kid.

People on the far far opposite side of the political spectrum than Reiner , that I respect a lot , that knew him seem to say he was actually a fantastic person

Politics and social media have absolutely gutted this country’s collective mind. Yourself included.

This country is fricked. Everyone hates each other.

Oh, well now that I've seen those tweets, I think it's actually fine to make cheap jokes about a recent murder victim's career, and Trump's choice to blame Reiner for his own brutal death was completely appropriate!

The important thing is that we remember the real victim here: Donald J. Trump, who faced such hysterical criticism for using social media to shite all over a murder victim.

Especially anything Trump related.

The murders are very sad and just a horrible situation with his son and his other kids now, but Reiner had a lot of awful takes and outright lies on Trump which just ignored reality at times including still pushing the Russian collusion for a while.

When you have to check yourself in for mental health help due to an election you have lost your way. I guess he did better than most with TDS who don’t seek help, but I am not sure he was getting help to be able to view anything Trump related with any kind of objectivity and likely was just seeking help to deal with the anxiety he created for himself over Trump.

Hollywood lives in their own elitist bubble and echo chamber, and everything else is considered beneath them.

I'm trying to keep up, are mean tweets justification for mocking someone's death now? My friend with a 30-06 hole in his neck wants to know

One one hand hyperbolic, but is it really?

The political climate today isn't the culmination of a country wholly addicted to social media, this is just the start. Imagine what this shite is gonna be like in 50 years lol.

Okay, I’ll test it. I think Charlie Kirk was an a-hole that debated college kids only for a reason.

I didn't celebrate either one, and have said for a long time that the left's response to Kirk's murder was ghoulish
