I spent $75 to fill up this morning. It was $40, less than a year ago. I just don't eat out as much anymore.

It's rather ironic that the higher gas prices and inflation in general affects lower income people the most. The same folks the democrats claim to champion

What about your travel plans?

After being locked down, I think many are fine with an extra $10-$20 each way in gas to just do their preferred vacation they may have missed the last two years.

I heard a lot of bitching in 2008, but let’s face it. Most people didn’t change their lifestyle one bit. They just ate it.

Make better decisions. You’re actually part of the problem.

gas prices are awful under Biden, and it’s taking away from peoples paychecks.

An extra $10 each way? Is your vacation trip from Nola to Bay St. Louis?

If only increased fuel costs were only applied to vacation travel.

Sadly, it’s the working people that vote in socialists that are the most negatively impacted by inflation, while the ones on the dole will likely get a raise from the government.

OK, most of the posters here have no problems paying the extra cash for xideninflation.
But lets examine most of American who has no idea of TD:
They work at a middle to lower middle class job and since the plandemic is over they want to plan a Summer Vacation.
Perhaps the beach or disney or some other amusement park such as Vegas.
The may fly on Jet Blue, or they may drive.
Once they make the budget and seeing the cost of fuel and disney tickets they chose not to go.
This will have a negative impact on the tourist market and a Recession will occur. Maybe a Depression.
All because of some Climate Crazies.

It’s enough that I’m not driving a long distance to go anywhere. It’s just not worth it after multiple fill ups.

While gas prices themselves may not make me change my habits (yet), inflation sure will. Less overall "fun" purchases, less dining out, certainly not paying for Door Dash, etc. with these fuel costs, don't need all of the subscription services, and the list goes on. Lots of fat can be trimmed from our budget at any time.

But to the OP's point, I have a 24 gallon tank in my car. Filling up once per week on average will cost me $1,248/year per every dollar of fuel increase for ONE vehicle. That is a significant cost for many American families. Not to mention the fact that increased fuel costs are passed on to literally every item we buy.

Just saw my first $3.69 gas price in Hoover, AL. That’s a $0.20 increase overnight.

It's February wait until the middle of summer. If gas is still going up you'll really see people start to complain

When you put a jack arse in the white house you get this stuff. it has been hurting average Americans since august but our leaders do not care.

How else do you explain still buying oil from Russia and still not allowing Americans to drill. Just in Louisiana only Kennedy has said anything. Garret Graves has become ghost and Cassidy is a cuck. Locally JBE is blowing the solar energy companies and bending over for electric cars.
