Glad to see someone pushes back against all the soft as puppy crap BR sports radio hosts.
BR has to be the saddest sports market for radio and online commentary.

Who are the “Leftwing Leftcoast wackos” and why is Condon celebrating the birthday of a fairly random LSU player? I love Tolliver but if you’re tracking birthdays for players of his caliber, then you’re celebrating a birthday almost every day

This is just not true. I would bet that our local sports broadcasts rank in the top 50 in the nation. You ever listen to the local broadcasting of other cities while on road games out of state? It's horrible. Most people around here don't realize how good we have it.

From what I’ve read…
Condon and his Co-Host walked into work last Friday morning @ 5:45am and were told GTFO by Michelle Southern.
I think he’s more pissed about his co-host getting whacked, along with being replaced by a BS syndicated morning show with no relevance to the area.
I think he’s already fricked with Hunt and Matt about things on X. I follow him on X, because he always shows old LSU stuff. He’s an idiot, but he doesn’t give a frick.
He’s waged war on Michelle since then…. He’s now apparently included Gordy. I assume it was her who made the decision?

Condon’s schtick really only works with a democratic mayor or governor and his recognition of all the musicians who passed on this day was not entertaining.
That being said, the Woody show is worse. I’ve tried a few times to listen to them. It’s a lousy Stern rip off. Hair or Bare game. Then they were talking about a butt plug the other day.
Not sure what age group would find either of those fun radio on the way to work, but a classic rock station demographics isn’t it.
98.1 should update to alt rock and focus on 90s-10s and dabble outside of that.

Whenever satellite radio came out, I completely left the realm of local radio other than when LSU is playing. I was raised on W&J, Stevens and Pruitt, and to some degree - Condon. After I went to paid radio, it was such a massive departure from the absolute void of terrible terrestrial radio. I don't even understand how any of you can remotely stand it.
I was in a rental car last year sometime and put Condon on and it was awful. Just completely terrible. I didn't even understand what he was saying. He was just yelling and making no sense. He'd really fallen... Hard. And I don't even know how it was possible he could do so.
