Returning the shopping cart is the litmus test to whether you can self govern or not.

Agree or not? I tend to agree, and not as much as a good deed to announce to the world that you’re a good person, but if for no other reason than it shows that you don’t put other people out with buggies they have to navigate around when parking their car to go to the store.
I understand that this is graduate school stuff for people who leave dirty diapers and McDonalds bags and cups in the parking lot, but for the rest of us who aren’t complete trash, what say you?

As long as there’s any plausible deniability, we can’t self govern. Most folks are just, trash.

You need a litmus test to know we can not self govern?
Hell, these days we’re fortunate if there aren’t a bunch of dirty diapers and trash tossed in the parking lot.
People a trashy. Specifically people in Louisiana.

Put some Korean snipers on the roof. When they take out a few cart leavers and diaper dumpers, word will spread through the sub-human community with the quickness.

You are correct.
A lot of people come up with convent excuses as to why the cannot or should not.
But it is a test of your character.

Just came back from the grocery store. I put the cart back. You can trust me.

This thread will be littered with retard-level excuses as to why one is justified in not returning the cart.
“I can’t let my little billy sit in a hot car for 15 seconds” and the most louisiana shite “I’m free to leave the cart in the middle of parking lot because they have cart boys for that”
Pathetic.

Take your kid(s) with you to return the cart so they learn by example how to be a good human.

I know people that would say shite like this. Garbage humans.

This one is actually more valid than the leaving you baby in the car excuse. No one picks up their own dishes at a restaurant because they have bus boys who get paid to pick them up.

Most humans will try to do as little as possible and if given the opportunity, will be lazy.
The bigger markets here have plenty of spots to return carts, so its not that big an issue, however fat people parking in front of the store in the loading zone is epidemic.

I don’t just RETURN the cart. I grab a cart on the way in and use it and then return it. I also don’t just put it in the cart corral, but make sure it’s meshed correctly.

No it’s can you stay out of the left lane unless you are actively passing someone. The attitude of disregarding the rule to be a dick just because you can.

It most certainly shows the character of a person.

The cart boys are there to retrieve the cart from the stalls. Not scattered all over the parking lot. Comparing it to a bus boy is dumb.

Even when my kids were babies, i still took them to the store with me and would still return the buggy.
I have heard and seen so many women say with screaming babies, I’m just trying to get in the car and get the groceries in the car.
That is no freaking excuses. It’s called making an excuse and women just being women

The only time I didn’t was when my middle child was an infant and I didn’t see a bay on any adjacent rows. Still irks me 10 years later.
