Because its not a time when people are buying a bunch of gifts or travel as far or at all. And Easter just isn't as marketable as Christmas.

What does a bunny have to do with Easter anyway? And where do the eggs fit in? Easter traditions make no sense

Yep, the first gift Saint Nicholas handed out was an arse whipping to the heretic Arius at the First Council of Nicaea about 1700 years ago.

Because religion has left the world in many regions.....

this is where i fall too.... none of the traditions make any sense, unlike Christmas, and other holidays.... you can sorta trace back an origin that is logical...

Well, when you understand that all of our holidays are based off of pagan ones, it makes perfect sense.
The eggs and bunnies are about the spring equinox and fertility.

It goes back to old pagan tradition

The Christian celebration of Passover and the resurrection is based on a pagan holiday?

My kids have already participated in at least four Easter egg hunts this week and tomorrow is actually Easter Day. Most have been pretty half assed as far as making kids think a bunny planted the eggs. Pretty sure they this is what’s going to make my kids question any childhood fantasy figures.

We were picking with my older kid (knows all isn’t real) about having to go to bed so the Easter Bunny will come and he asked, “how’s the bunny supposed to get in? Santa comes down the chimney” and I said well I don’t know, and he says “design flaw!”
I don’t guess we’ve had to explain that one

He lives in a briar patch and lays candy filled eggs. What's wrong with you?

Why though? Where did the fricking bunny come from?

Because humans are greedy and obsessed with having stuff. People receive big, nice, shiny gifts on Christmas. That’s not the case on Easter other than some candy maybe. That’s why human society cares nothing about the Easter bunny and won’t shut up about Santa Clause 8 months out of the year. The really sad part is most people completely ignore or disregard the main purpose of Christmas. All they care about is what presents they get.

Easter Bunny doesn't bring big gifts

My wife loves to eat rabbit. Whenever she visits friends in Thuringia, she brings back a bag of frozen rabbit heads (Bavarians aren't much into that, so they're hard to find here). Anyway, we're into Easter; just finished hiding the eggs. Happy Easter!

Relatively speaking, why does no one care about the Easter Bunny?
Since Santa, because he is in a sled being pulled by eight reindeer (9 if there is a blizzard), moves faster than the Easter Bunny, time slows down for Santa relative to the Easter Bunny.

quote:yep - and most department stores in the USA were started by Jews and in no way would they try to promote a holiday that celebrates the Messiah they don’t accept. Christmas is easy - I know many non Christians that celebrate Christmas- it’s fun!
Because humans are greedy and obsessed with having stuff. People receive big, nice, shiny gifts on Christmas.
But Christianly speaking, Christmas doesn’t matter if we don’t have Easter.
