re: Do Azaleas normally bloom this early?
Posted by goosenecktrailer on 2/22/26 at 6:26 pm to bdavids09
I’ve also had this question before. I’ve taken pics of some Azaleas that I can see from my work break room during peak bloom. I always feel like it’s earlier and earlier but normally just moves a week or so each way.

Had a guy from France come over and stayed with my parents one summer when I was in college. He hit on my sister (no pics) all the time and made her really uncomfortable. He’s English was pretty bad so everything was pretty lost in translation when trying to explain how inappropriate certain things were that he did.
He stayed with me for a couple weeks when I went back to college for summer school. It was during the Bush years and he pissed all of my fraternity brothers off by saying how bad he thought Bush was.
He so seemed to suffer from night terrors and would scream out in French in the middle of the night and that scared the shite out of me.
He was also one of those people who wanted to have pictures of himself taken in front of stupid shite only a foreigner would take a picture with, and the weirdest part is that he would put this serious look on his face and wore sunglasses in every pic.
Always had body odor.

Duct work specialist

Does anyone know of a company or person that specializes in HVAC ductwork. Have cold air coming out from under my house and need some other work done on the rain shield. Not looking for a full blown HVAC company to send out their regular techs.

Starter fluid on a rag and wipe it off.
re: Was Pablo Escobar a big deal in U.S. news cycles during his prime?

I’m in my mid-40s and remember my dad telling me about it that morning after seeing it in the newspaper. He spoke about it in a celebratory way and seemed well aware of the situation.

I think I might take you up on that.
Youth left handed rifle
Posted by goosenecktrailer on 11/18/25 at 9:12 am
My daughter wants to get into hunting, and I’ve heard a .243 is a solid starter rifle. She’s left-handed, though—do I really need to look for a left-handed gun, or is it not that big of a deal?
re: EBR needs to build a bigger prison. I’d vote a tax for that or use of library funds
Posted by goosenecktrailer on 11/14/25 at 11:24 am to UptownJoeBrown
Crime has real root causes, and libraries definitely aren’t one of them. Honestly, funding libraries does way more to prevent crime long-term than throwing more money at prisons. If you think libraries are the problem, you probably need to look into it more. The Thrive vote is messy, but a yes vote seems like the better option

I really enjoyed the place. I thought it was great for the neighborhood. It was the place to go to after kids sports. The playground was really cool too. Dang I’m really bummed out.

I go. Why not? Went off to college and moved away. Life is too short to think you are too cool.
Kreg Saw Guides
Posted by goosenecktrailer on 9/12/25 at 10:51 am
I’m looking to buy a kreg saw guide. I don’t have space for a table saw so wondering if this is an ok alternative. My question is if anyone has any experience with the 24” saw guide (~$50) or if I should go ahead with the 50” saw track ($100).
Any feedback is appreciated.

re: Baton Rouge officials tackling a local problem - illegal tire dumping?
Posted by goosenecktrailer on 9/3/25 at 2:05 pm to BilbeauTBaggins
Old tires aren’t just trash or an eyesore — when they collect water, they become breeding grounds for mosquitoes that can spread serious diseases. Proper tire disposal protects both our communities’ health and the environment
re: Travel tipping point. Flying vs drive
Posted by goosenecktrailer on 8/12/25 at 8:21 pm to Tigernomics
Number of people traveling contributes significantly to the decision. We will opt to drive when it’s the whole family but fly the same distance when it’s just me or my wife.

Any idea why this is happening? Is it normal?
