Buying a new fridge for our new house this weekend. Narrowed it down to these two models. Leaning towards the Whirlpool. Any other models I should consider? Reviews online are all over the damn place.

LG

Whirlpool

LG all the way. I’ve never had a problem with mine...and it’s super quiet.

Don’t get the Whirlpool. I have one and it sucks. Dumb shite like the mechanism on the door sticks so it bangs and won’t close all the way sometimes. The water dispenser sticks and water spills everywhere because there is no catch basin beneath the dispenser. Also the ice and water dispenser is disabled when any of the doors including the freezer is open.

My whirlpool pisses me off. The ice in door constantly melts and on the freezer door.

Look at Frigidaire’s professional fridge.

Google freezer and compressor problems with LG. It is pervasive. It is actually hard to find anyone to work on them in my area because they continue to break.

It always starts the same. The freezer first then the fridge. I argued with Lowe's long enough over the warranty that they refunded my money and I bought a Frigidaire.

These machines are worthless. If you google search you can read on forum after forum about them.

Nothing by LG or Samsung. Look for Maytag or Kitchen Aid.

That looks horrible. I don't want my fridge as the centerpiece of my home decor.

LG sucks. As someone else has posted they are notorious for being crap and most repair men won't even work on them.

LG is a crappy product that virtually no refrigerator repair people will work on. Same goes with Samsung... I had one and it shite the bed.

I bought virtually the same Whirlpool that you have pictured and love it. Mine has the ice maker in the refrigerator door and a large ice maker in the freezer. It is awesome.

LG is Goldstar rebrand. You want a Goldstar fridge?

Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Kitchenaide and probably another one are all the same manufacturer.

Sub zero I think is in that group too. Hit or miss.
