Recap of Baton Rouge crime recently

June 29
- Emergency crews are investigating multiple reports of gunfire near the Mall of Louisiana. First responders were dispatched to the parking lot of Dick’s Sporting Goods.
The Baton Rouge Police Department says a woman was found suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. Other reports suggest the victim may be a minor.
-At least two people have life-threatening injuries after seven people were hurt during an early Saturday shooting at a night club on Florida Boulevard.
The Baton Rouge police Department responded to a call about a shooting reported at the Stadium Ultralounge on Florida Boulevard. The night club is located across the street from the Bon Marche Mall.
Investigators believe a physical altercation escalated into a shooting. Gunshots were fired both inside and outside of the club.
June 28
-Multiple people were transported to the hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds Friday night after an armed robbery attempt.
Around 10:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of Jasper Avenue to investigate reports of a double shooting. Investigators learned seven men were standing in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Three other men approached the group wearing bandannas covering their faces and armed with handguns, demanding members of the group turn over personal property.
-One person was injured Friday in a late night shooting near a bar in Tigerland, EMS spokesman Nick McDonner said, according to The Advocate.
The shooting occurred in the 4400 block of Alvin Dark Avenue at 11:55 p.m. Friday night. McDonner said one person was transported with minor injuries.
Baton Rouge Police spokesman Don Coppola Jr. said a 35-year-old man suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his arm. Preliminary information revealed the man was approaching a suspect who was possibly burglarizing his car.
June 27
-Woman arrested after BREC park brawl with referee over basketball foul calls. Arrest reports say she approached the referee and a fight ensued. Lofton allegedly punched the referee in the face multiple times as well. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
-Three people are dead and one man is in custody after an overnight shooting.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating a triple homicide in the 2000 block of Palmer Lane off of South Harrell’s Ferry Road.
The shooter has been identified as Michael Lee Wade, 48. Officials say the victims were Wade’s ex-girlfriend, Crista Mae Sudduth, 35, her grandmother, Ruby White, 72, and Ivy Frank, 32, Sudduth’s current boyfriend.
June 26
- 18 year old body dumped on Perkins road w/ gunshot wound. The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. at a BREC park on Perkins Road at Kenilworth Parkway, near Olympia Stadium. Sources say the body was dumped from a car.
Police have identified the male as Davonta Deon London. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office says he died of a gunshot wound to the head.
June 24
-Man shot dead in neighborhood off Staring Lane. Raheal Pierre was shot dead in a residential subsidivsion near Perkins Road and Staring Lane.
-Man accused of shooting at two adults, child on Scenic Hwy. The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday on Scenic Highway. Three victims including a man, a woman, and a young child were at the location when the shooting took place. According to the arrest report, the male victim got into an argument with a man identified as Donald Freeman.
