I have a small business and I refuse to use AI generated shite for my advertising because I know how I feel when I see other businesses doing that, and the last thing I want is to give myself that same image. I don't do business with companies who do that.

Yup

I thought this was going to be about realtors’ glamour shots.

Worked next door to a realtor’s home a few days ago. Her vehicle was parked there with her mug printed on the back window. At some point she came out of the house and was digging around in the SUV. At a glance, you would have thought it was someone else entirely. Pic showed tall and reasonably attractive. Reality showed short and wide.

This is just as important of a problem!

It’s a real problem. We’re shooing for a mountain house and they’re AI generating views in windows that are completely wrong.

not only that but they are AWFUL

its like my 5yo prompting AI. i agree. these should be banned entirely or a filter to 'remove all ai' when going through photos.

That used to drive me NUTS when we were looking for a new home. Eventually I figured out that the bigger part of it is the natural result of the lens of the camera used to take the photos. The depth is always severely skewed and makes the rooms look much, much larger than they are when seen in person.

I finally started using Photoshop to adjust the realtors' pics to look much more representative of the actual size of the rooms. All I had to do was look for floor tiles or ceiling tiles that were overly elongated and then adjust the photos to make them appear closer to square. The rooms magically appeared much more accurately proportioned after the adjustment.

It was a little extra work on the front end when deciding on which ones to actually look at, but it was better than driving miles and miles to a house we thought we'd like only to discover that every room felt cramped.
