Realistically, could you be a high school coach

Without doing something quite foolish?
Buddy of mine texted me. Ran into a junior, to be senior, student of his in Florida with her parents. They asked him to dinner, he ended up going... And the daughter was apparently VERY forward during the whole thing.
He says the mom even made the point that it Looks like someone has a crush. Dad responded with "I'm not that lucky."
He got out without doing anything, but he's shook up about the whole thing
Girl is legal (military brat). Not gonna lie, not bad looking.
Dude is torn up about it all.
My response of, it ain't worth it, seems less than appreciated

Eta: he's an idiot for even accepting the offer unless he's prior friends with the parents (seems he wasn't), but he is a teacher so I'm not surprised by his idiotness

Currently an assistant High School Xc/track coach and looking to be a HC soon.
24, fit, I’m not gonna say I’m good looking but I know I’m not ugly. It’s not hard to shut down a kid coming onto you and protect yourself from a kid accusing you of something. I’m more scared of getting disciplined for cussing than anything.

Pretty sure our track coach in hs was dating one of the girls who was on the team under him. He waited til after she graduated though.

No, best part about teaching is leaving at three and Summers off, coaching ruins both of those things.

Yeah. If a 26 year old wants my 18 year old daughter, I'm not gonna call myself lucky if she likes him back
