Rapist is NOT coming to LSU

BATON ROUGE - School leaders at LSU are denying a claim that a convicted rapist from Oklahoma was enrolled and set to attend the Louisiana's flagship university in the fall.
"We are aware of a social media post circulating alleging that LSU has admitted an individual convicted of a violent sexual offense. This claim is false. LSU has no record of this individual in our admissions system, nor do we have any indication that the individual plans to enroll or attend the university. We encourage the public to rely on verified information and refrain from sharing misinformation," the school said in a statement Thursday morning.

Social media is a cancer. And too many of you believe anything some rando posts just because it's online. Some poor Butler look-alike on campus was a couple days from being lynched if it was up to the tards here.

When I was in middle school/high school (before social media), my teachers would make me source primary sources with a bibliography on any paper I would turn in. Thought it was annoying and dumb at the time, but it's something I think about and appreciate these days. Now there is so much more secondary sourced crap out there.
Some guy posting on twitter or speaking on a podcast that speaks on other secondary sources is not source material to quote as a fact. It's also like that telephone game you'd play as a kid. You have 20 kids sitting side by side. Teacher tells the first kid a phrase. Each kid tells the other kid the phrase down the line until it gets to the last kid. The last kid would generally always say something completely different than what the teacher told the first kid.
There's a lot of truth to what we were taught as kids without realizing it at the time.
