He must have accidentally submitted his ACT score for consideration…
On a LSU/ACT related note LSU still has not posted the common data set reports for the 2025 fall freshman class which would show the % of the class that submitted ACT/SAT scores (also shows the % of multiple tiers of HS GPAs not submitting scores and submitting scores). LSU also hasn’t updated the enrollment at glance dashboard for the regular 2026 Spring semester.

LSU's statement would've been better had it said he wouldn't have been accepted even had he applied.

Probably more truth back then than now, but looking back, referencing some random author as expert for a written paper definitely carries an elevated degree of uncertainty as an adult.
