Was engaged to a French girl. She went back to south France for a a few months while waiting for the visa interview. Everything good no signs the relationship was on the rocks. If anything it felt like it had gotten better. Week of interview she goes to Paris. She was telling me the entire week how she missed me and couldn’t wait to come back. Texted my mom apparently that she wanted to surprise me on my birthday. Then literally flips the switch one day and blows up at me after I told her I was feeling a bit down and was just anxious to find a new job. (Was working for her dad at this point which was a huge mistake and hated the job). She knew I was unhappy about it and knew I had been searching for something new prior to this but had been extremely supportive and had been encouraging me to make a change. Basically she told me she couldn’t come back to someone depressed and that she wouldn’t be returning until I got my emotional issues settled. I wisened up pretty quick and found out that there was another guy. She’d go on for another 2 weeks bitching at me for not fighting for her and telling me on my birthday she thought I should have killed myself because I was mentally weak lol. I dodged a bullet.

30 years later I am very good friends with my ex. She married a different man who is much older.

Why would you want to fight for her.

100% there's another guy.
frick her, go find someone else.
Same shite happened to me. Dated a girl for 6 months. She was loving, caring, affectionate, the whole nine yards and absolutely in love with me. I reciprocated the same to her. Sex was great, conversations were always interesting, and everything was always good.
Then, about 5 months in, she started to distance herself from me and the relationship, slowly but surely. When I tried to communicate with her about it, she insisted nothing was wrong and that I was being insecure. I let it be, and tried to progress the relationship as normal. A month later, she tells me she needs space, then ghosts me for 4 days. I then get a text saying that we needed to talk.
We meet up, she tells me she isn't ready to be a in serious relationship with me (which I knew was a lie). I couldn't believe it. Everything she had ever said or done during those first 5 months said otherwise. She then proceeded to remove me, my friends and anyone else she met through me, from social media. Completely erased me and anyone associated with me from her life.
There's nothing worse I've experienced than watching your significant other whom you care for, start to distance themselves from you in a relationship all while refusing to acknowledge they are doing it.
To this day, I have no clue what happened to cause her to do it. I'm assuming there was another guy, but I guess I'll never know for certain.

My first girlfriend in middle school called my house phone after school and wanted my mom to deliver the heartbreaking news that she was breaking up with me
Can't say it was really out of left field. My piece of shite friends relationship advice was be a complete dick to her. We went to the school dance and I think I danced with her for maybe 3 songs and ignored her the rest of the night.

Things were great outside of the two days before the break up as well.
There's another dude. If she got icy for only two days, you've been tasting his dick every time you kissed her or went down on her for the last two weeks.

If there's one thing I've learned over the past decade of dating/hook ups it's that women are completely unpredictable. I just laugh now when they are flakey or upset. They can change how they're feeling about you in the drop of a hat

All the chicks that have dumped me are fat now or have had other bad things happen to them so i don't really sweat it

Summer before my sophomore year of high school, my girlfriend of 10 months dumped me two days before our church youth group was scheduled to fly to Costa Rica for a two week mission trip. Just out of the blue called and said it was over. 15 year old me was devastated.
To make matters worse, two days later I show up ready to go on this trip with her there and she’s suddenly dating a guy in the group who I was rooming with the entire trip. They were all over each other the entire time.
So that sucked pretty bad.

quote:honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the same happened here. She’s in okay shape now but lost a lot of weight to get there and doesn’t have the best eating habits. I’m in shape (run/workout frequently) and that looked like that was starting to rub off on her some but I may have dodged a bullet honestly. Who knows.

shite that sounds like my last ex. I’ve told this story on here a couple times so ill keep it short but she found porn on my computer 2 days before we were going to go sign the papers. Had been there for a while had a mental slip and left stuff open which now I’m thankful for. Anyway she blows up decides she doesn’t want to get married and everything. Through the course of that she blows up on my parents for sending her a birthday gift they had bought her before all this happened but not apologizing to her (for what I don’t know). She told me to kill myself, broke my nose, all that Jazz. She was Uber controlling before than and I was just an idiot. Put me in the spot of where I am now of not dealing with shite from them.

Yea I would agree that ghosting in the true form is never okay but I get what he’s saying to. Like a random breakup with little explanation can be acceptable.
