Girls don’t really monkey wrench if you can please them sexually. So how was the sex life?

Meh. That's only part of a relationship. I've had a good sex life with a few women that I'd have never dated long term or married.

And let’s face it, anyone who has been dating someone that started around the quarantine hasn’t actually been dating. Sorry, there are people that have been dating around on Hinge and got 5 people on the side, and it’s equally true of men and women.

i saw that headline.

do your own searches.

consolation:

anyone local who cant do face to face is not worth spit.

i recommend cnvc the center for non violent communication.

books on good listening and how to say your piece without targeting the other person but rather, owning your feeling and needs about whatever is discussed.

read early and often.

To make matters worse, two days later I show up ready to go on this trip with her there and she’s suddenly dating a guy in the group who I was rooming with the entire trip. They were all over each other the entire time.

Church group or not 15 year old me and him would have thrown down.

It's guy code not to screw your buddy's girlfriend. His ex from 3 years ago is most likely fine.

Too many women out there than to lose a lifelong friend over one.

100% chance there's another guy. Most women aren't going to break up with someone without having another guy in mind at least.

You need to show your work.

I broke up with a chick last week. She's a nympho but diagnosed bipolar. She went through extreme mood swings covering every conceivable emotion in the span of about 10 minutes.

Told me the song I was listening to (some hard rock) made her want to see me bleed.

That's my cue

This is where it went wrong, whether you were or not, she perceived you as desperate because of this. Desperation is the cardinal sin in these type of “courting” scenarios. IMO it’s the only thing that can’t be overcome, it’s an automatic out, you can overcome nervousness, and just about anything else, but if the woman feels you are desperate to be with her, it’s over. It’s great to be a good man and treat a woman great if we are talking about someone you are married to or have been with for a very long time, but trying to win a woman’s affection by running around trying to do every little thing for her and “treat her like a queen” is never going to be a good idea.

This guy nailed it! His POV, that is, not the OP’s ex.

This is so true.

My best friend's wife dropped him after 12 years of marriage because her bitter divorced work friends (she was a nurse) convinced her to drop him. She cared more about making them happy than their marriage.

I wouldn’t say he is necessarily wrong. I don’t think they “love” being treated like shite. But for many who constantly grew up in a shitty setting, and have daddy issues so to speak, being treated like shite is essentially what they have come to expect in relationships. You can treat those types of girls great and they will love you, but unfortunately many times a lot of them will run as a defensive mechanism because they aren’t use to that kind of stability.

Women want the man that all the other girls want. Being wanted by her friend group matters.

How tall are you? I'm 6'1". Every single girl I've dated since I was 17 years old has told me have glad they are that I'm tall. A lot of them told me how they couldn't stand dating short guys. I don't know why that's a thing with women.....Anybody else experience this?

The way women’s think doesn’t change as they get older. They may be more mature and more in command of their emotions. But they still think the same way.
