How do you break up with someone you're only dating?

quote:shite that could be it too. I’ve never had anyone tell me I was creepy before but maybe I gave off that vibe here who knows. Didn’t really do anything that she didn’t do in terms of gifts or anything so I’m not sure how that conclusion would have come down.
OP may be a nice guy but gave off a creepy vibe she couldnt get over after a month of trying

She is a woman
Don't try to make sense of her behavior

Girls monkey branch. If they break up with you nine times out of ten there’s another guy.
In reality it may or may not be an upgrade, but in her head it is.

She got back with her boyfriend. You were just the guy she passed the time with

So a lifetime ago, a good friend had been seeing this lady for quite a few months. Long story how the magic week came to pass, but they & another couple wind up in Europe with free access to a Learjet. They ski in the Alps, hit the beach in Greece along with a few other stops. They get back and after a few days, he calls her saying they should get together this week. She says, sorry J..., but I’m getting married this weekend.
Ya just never know with the ladies. :-)

Monkey-branching from man to man is a real phenomenon, but I've also seen this sort of thing happen in situations where the guy just didn't move fast enough. That could mean physically or emotionally.
You may think you're being respectful by not trying to bang the snot out of her, but she's going to get antsy eventually if you don't even try. If you hadn't tried pretty hard after a month and a half, then yeah, that's quite possibly what happened.
On the emotional side, did you ever talk to her about what she wanted out of life and out of the relationship? Women like to make silly little plans around that shite. I say "silly" because long-term plans are generally bogus, but people like to at least go through the motions of making them.

I wouldn’t date any girl that would start dating you during quarantine. Right off the bat she broke the rules. Could never trust her again.

My problem happened in college. Dated a lady who was 6 years older than myself. We spent a lot of time together but she really got offended when I called her my girlfriend. She would never act romantic in public with me. The romance was behind closed doors.
Then after about 2 1/2 years of dating, her guy friend leaves the catholic seminary and drives to Houston to catch up over dinner. He pulls out a ring and proposes to her.
My girlfriend hunts me down in study hall and breaks the news. 2 days before final exams ! I was crushed and spiraled into depression. I did not study for my exams but passed every class anyway.
Their engagement lasted two months and he breaks it off sending her into crying spells. They never marry.
30 years later I am very good friends with my ex. She married a different man who is much older.

Just had a girl I was dating for a month and a half break up with me over FaceTime (not a distance relationship) out of the blue because she “wasn’t feeling it anymore.” No other explanation given although she danced around trying to do so. Things were great outside of the two days before the break up as well. There was genuine chemistry there and she was (seemingly) every bit as into it as I was. Then out of nowhere I get that dropped on me.
Thankfully it was only a month and a half so I wasn’t as invested into it as if it had lasted longer but the randomness of it has just thrown me for a loop. My initial reaction is that there’s another dude or something but no other sign points to that and she’s not really one to go around talking to dudes (this was her first real relationship at age 23) so that would surprise me if it was the case. Just weird and random.
100% chance there's another guy. Most women aren't going to break up with someone without having another guy in mind at least.
Sounds like one that'll show back up if this other guy fricks up. I wouldn't sweat it. Best thing you can do is live your life and leave her be.

My ex sent me a pic of my ex- best friend's large penis.

We went in talking about that before the relationship even started. I had gotten out of a messed up situation a while back and decided I wasn’t playing games with anything anymore. If we weren’t on the same page I wasn’t getting into it. She opened up with how she wanted to be on the same page and started talking about all of it on one of our early dates before making it official and we all just kind of laid it out there then.
As far as the sex thing goes I that definitely wasn’t apart of the problem. Everyone was on the same page there.
I don’t know I’m sure this is just one of those “women do stupid shite” things.

And we’re all going to be the other guy at some point.
I had a girl disappear on me after two dates. I wasn’t offended, it was two dates, but I was surprised to find out she was living with her boyfriend at the time, who had no idea about me, or presumably the other guys she was talking to.
She ended up reaching out four or five months later. And I ended up dating her for a little while, before breaking it off.
The weird part with it all, I think I’m the love of her life.
