I wanted boys all my life but ended up with a girl. Best thing ever. Bad thing is, I only see her 50/50 now because of divorce and she wants to be with me instead of her mom. Sucks

BINGO!
I doted, spoiled, and put my Baby Girl on a pedestal.
When she was teenager, I was asking myself. "Did I really need another kid?"

Being a dad to girls is a ton of fun. Set the example of what they should expect from men and work hard to build their self confidence (the world will do more than enough to try to tear it down).
Also read The Anxious Generation. Not to scare you, but give yourself perspective about how kids are engaged by social media and the internet today. Lots of challenges that we never had to deal with or even consider.

My little girl just turned two. I never imagined the connection that could be formed with a kid until it happened to me. My time with her is never enough. She learns something new every day. Her personality is really starting to show. I can’t even put into words the love I have for her. Props to all the dads out there, and my heart goes out to the ones that have to make the lonely drive home after the dreaded drop-off.
Spend as much time with her as you can, they grow up fast, but they remember the time you spent with them. You set the baseline for what they will expect in a man, so keep that in mind. They are such a joy, but every day you have to give them up a little bit more, but if you do a good job, they will always come back to you.

It goes by so fast. Spend as much time with her as possible.

My daughter was just born two days ago. First child. Her and mom are doing good.
My feelings are exactly the same. Can’t believe the connection I already have with her. There’s no better feeling. Gonna cherish every moment bc I know they fly by.

As of this past Friday my 4 year old daughter asks to hear When the Levee Breaks every time we get in the car. She plays her toy harmonica to it.

I have a 2.5 week old daughter and she is the greatest thing in my life. I do not want her to get older.
Wait until she’s like 2 or 3 years old. Girls are awesome. I have an almost 5 year old, and she’s the best. Super sweet, smart, loving.
I also have a 1 year old, she’s great but I’m looking forward to her being a little older.

First off, no. (Joke)
Second, they do that on purpose so you’ll keep them. It’s a trap.

Mine is about to turn 13. Thought she may be developing bipolar disorder but apparently this is fricking normal for girls her age? Hold on tight for the roller coaster of teenage mood swings my friend.

They steal your damned heart, for sure

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve got three- now all in college or just out- and one of the best things I ever did was take each on a father/daughter trip around age nine. We did the Caribbean since they loved the sun and water. Incredible memories, and a great way to rly connect before those pre-teen years hit… yea, buckle up for that part.

My daughter is two. She is funny as hell.
Doing imaginative play and making up stories is kicking in. Always hilarious listening to her pretend.

She will throw everything out of her crib and yell until she gets to one stuffed animal and her blanky.
She then passes out.
