The more you wear them, the more you’ll need to wear them.

Every time I get new glasses, everything seems off for the first few hours because my eyes are adjusting to the new prescription.
A lot depends on whether you get progressive lenses which works for both near and far vision. Some less expensive no-line lenses may give you a rough transition from reading a book to seeing a hundred yards away.

My question is, is it worth it to have everything a little zoomed in, or am I better off wearing these situationally,
You tell us, what works best for you? Whatever that is.. Do that.
So you are saying you don't need glasses, but you got a pair and they made your vision worse, however; you want to know if its better to have everything you look as if its zoomed in?

Progressive glasses. I hate them. Way too much distortion for me
Yeah I may get something different next time. I started having to wear glasses at 46. Unfortunately, your eyes adjust to them pretty quickly, and in my opinion, they make your eyesight without them worse.
