My, as well as your, time is important and valuable. I’m going to say a 9/10.

I will be there early, hopefully at least 10 minutes early and I absolutely expect someone else to be punctual as well if scheduled.

I’m early or right on time at least 75% of the time.

Always early to medical appointments, commercial air travel, etc.

Much of my work life doesn’t have a specific time/place constraint, I just need to be somewhere at some point, and truthfully most of those occurrences are of my own election.

I keep a calendar of “must be theres”, right now for the rest of the calendar year there are only about 12-15 items scheduled.

I’ve worked hard to get my schedule easy.

If you're not 5 minutes or more early, you're late.

I agree with you but will take it a bit further. If it is scheduled with plenty of notice then you damn sure need to be there on time. If it is a last minute meeting without much notice, I am a little more lax on that. Now that I am working more military bases, we will have call in meetings with the Corp on a 30 minute notice while I have 3 or 4 crews running around base. It is much tougher to make those.

When dealing with friends, if I tell them I will meet them at 8:30 for breakfast or a time for dinner then I will be there on time or I will text them that I will be late due to a reason. I cherish my friends and find it extremely disrespectful to be habitually late like my time is more important than them or their time.

10+. There is no excuse to be late if you know in advance where you need to be at a certain time.

Do all the people saying this really show up early? Like if someone invites you over for 6 you arrive at 5:45? I always assumed this was rude to any last minute prep the host/hostess may be doing.

It’s pretty important to me. I don’t want/need someone to be early, and I’ll even wait in the car if I’m accidentally early, but a pattern of being late is enough for me to stop making plans with someone.

About an 8. I work hard to be on time. If you’re not there better be a damn good excuse that doesn’t involve either traffic or Starbucks.

If it is a work meeting I follow the 15 minute rule. After 15 minutes we are starting or maybe just cancel all together.

I always leave early when going to an appointment, to allow for stopping if necessary, traffic or road conditions. It does mean I usually arrive 10-25 minutes early everywhere I go.

High school basketball coach told us, if you are not early, you are late.

One thing that has always stuck with me

My grandfather made me like this. Towards the end of his life I used to take him to the doctor occasionally. We'd be there so early that sometimes we'd be out the door before his appt time

I'm early for everything. I don't expect others to be quite like that but people that are habitually late annoy me.

Yes. My feelings exactly.

The ADD is why Im early to shite now.

Used to be late a lot, caused a few big headaches, and Ive way overcompensated.

Dont really judge others for it, unless habitually late to things.
