Like to be early to everything. Concerts/sporting events/travel/ you name it

Mainly because I like to build time in for the unpredictable like a bad wreck or traffic or just stuff that can happen.

It provides me high peace of mind to be at my destination even if that means sitting in the car for 20 minutes playing on my phone until the desired time arrives

I'm pretty much the same.

Most of the time, 5. Sort of depends on the occasion. If it’s professional, I try to be early to on time and I expect the same from others. For social occasions I try to be within 15 minutes of the agreed time and I don’t expect others to be right on time either. I don’t usually mind waiting.

This right here!

I take pride in being on time regardless of the event.

Depends on the event, but if punctuality is appropriate it is a 10.

Situationally dependent.

Very few things are a 10 because very few things in my life absolutely need me to be there on the nose or early.

If the plane will take off without me, it’s a 10. If I’m going to seriously inconvenience others with my tardiness, it’s a 10.

If the only inconvenience I’m going to inflict on another is offend their overly obsessive attitude toward punctuality, it’s a 1. If it’s a birthday party for someone over the age of 11, it’s also a 1.

And so on and so forth.

This attitude annoys my wife to no end.

That’s not to say I’m rarely showing up on time. But I’m not killing myself to get there. If I’ve gotta shite and it’s not that important if I’m 7 minutes late, I’m going to shite.

I like to be early for everything. Especially if I've never been to a place before.

Maybe it's having to travel a lot and be at places on time that's forever beaten into my way of thinking, but that's how it is.

Typically 10+. Be there or in proximity beforehand depending on the occasion.

Dick Winters, the legendary officer from the 101'st Airborne's Easy Company, gave an interview about how ridiculous Col. Sink was about time, and how much he grew to hate the whole culture of time in the military:

"After my time in the service, I was so fed up of living to the minute, to the second, that when I came home I never wore a wristwatch, and I don't today. I've never worn a wristwatch for that reason. I'd just had it."

At work I’m a 10. In my personal life I’m an 8. Unfortunately, my wife is a 1.
