This is bullshite. When it is dusk or dark, having someone with bright yellow flashers in front of you where every drop of rain on the windshield expands the effect of the hazard lights on the driver's eyes creates a hazard in itself.

When you look at the drivers who ride with their hazards on, it is, in the vast majority of cases, a stupid looking son of a bitch.

I didn't sync up my car's caution lights with the Christmas lights to not turn them on.

How the hell do your hazard lights help clear your windshield of the rain any faster than your slow windshield wipers?

How the hell have your 5 precious replies not asked this pressing question?

How the hell do you even post something so increduhbly inane?

It’s also against the law to speed, ride in the left lane, run a red light.

It’s also the same people who don’t know how to facilitate a 4-way stop. SMH

And on that note, a WORKING, FLASHING YELLOW means drive through it with caution and don't treat it as a 4-way stop you mongoloids.

And on that note, out of service traffic lights are 4 way stops

If your regular headlights are on we can see you. What else do you need?

You're approaching from behind. What do my headlights have to do with it?

Brake lights happen all the time on the interstate. They are meaningless. Because dumbasses can't maintain a constant speed with out using them.

Hazard lights mean "something's fricked up" and will get more attention. I'll use them to get the attention of fast approaching traffic from behind when there's a bad situation (stopped traffic, shite in the road) in front of me.

I don’t personally use my flashers in the rain. That being said, I don’t think people get that nervous at dusk or at night. When it’s dark outside, it’s much easier to see brake lights ahead.

What makes me nervous is when it’s a white out during the day, the cars in front of me are going slow, and there’s nobody (visible) behind me. Especially when the traffic is moving slowly, but not slowly enough to force me to ride the brake.

In these instances, I worry that some baw hauling arse because he “knows how to drive in the rain” will not see me until it’s too late and rear-end me. It’s not uncommon to run into this type of weather in the interstate in south Louisiana, where the combination of daylight and poor visibility make it hard to see normal running lights from more than 50-100 feet.

As I said, I don’t use my flashers. But I do routinely tap my brakes lightly in this type of weather (especially if I can see headlights coming up behind me) to make sure that my brake lights are visible. Once there’s a car behind me (assuming they can see me and have slowed down) it kind of becomes their problem and I stop worrying about it.

Point being that I find flashers much less annoying in these conditions than I do at night. I agree - at night it just creates glare and makes it even harder to tell WTF is going on in front of you.

Do your tail lights not come on when your headlights are on?
