Bring it to Vinnie's Exotics in BR. He'll give you a real, honest assessment.

Yah I want a Porsche so bad but it seems idiotic to buy anything other than Lexus. Literally have never had a single problem across 3 vehicles over almost 20 years. My 2 year stint with a Mercedes was a bloody nightmare by comparison

I guess I got lucky. I have a 2014 SQ5 and it’s been damned near perfect. I had to get the brakes done at 80k miles and it’s now at 135k and still on the second set of brakes. I’ve had no major issues at all.
Sounds like you better sell it - like NOW!

If the engine needs to be replaced, why isn't it covered under the powertrain warranty. Audi has a 10 year 120k mile powertrain warranty for the engine and transmission. I know because I drive an Audi A6.

Never own German out of warranty, son

Most leases are 36 months or less

If you makes you feel better my kids friends dad is the service director at a major dealership in DFW. He told me he hasn’t maybe under 200k in the last 10 years and all his service guys make six figures.
Said they have hit quotas on every single category of shite wrong with the car and they get commission

The germans tend to over engineer everything. Been that way forever.

Consumer Reports has BMW rated as the third most reliable brand behind Toyota and Lexus. Audi comes in at six. MB last in brands they rated at 24. I have owned BMWs in the past and they were reliable. They are definitely more expensive to maintain.

Beamer/ beemer are correct terms for a BMW motorbike.

My personal experience.
Toyota: blown head gasket out of warranty. Fixed at no cost because they said it shouldn’t have happened.
Honda: two vehicles no issue.
Ford: five vehicles between work and personal. Transmissions in 2 of 5 made it past 37k miles. After 36k you are your own with ford.
BMW: no major issues. Constant error codes with electronics. Couple hundred every visit to dealer.
Jeep: had two. First few thousand miles expect often visits to dealer. After that no issues.
Prefer Japanese for reliability and customer service. Get sucked into other brands by wife or styling.

To go off of the dealership thread I started. I found many incidents like yours and immediately told her to not even utter the words "Audi"
That's sad that you spent all that money only to have it go kaput in 60k miles. Only reason I let my wife get Hyundai is that 10 yr/ 100k powertrain warranty.

Maybe not quite THAT low-end, but at least an Avalon or mid-tier Lexus.

I have been telling my daughter this for years, the way she abuses her Q5 it’s a miracle it still runs
