I highly recommend Brian’s German Auto in BR. My wife’s first Audi was having issues. Audi Fort Worth wanted $8k. Brian fixed everything for about $1800. This was 15 months ago.

Never ran really low as leak was minimal. Maybe dime size spot. Brought in as soon as noticed.

Dealership probably sabotaged the frick out of it when you brought it in the first time.

Should've leased it. No one with any level of intelligence buys a German vehicle. Repair costs are through the roof.

I second this. Brian's is good people and has worked on my family's cars for years.

I disagree. I’ve owned 3 Audi’s since 2009 and never an issue. Last A6 went 156k with nothing other than scheduled maintenance and control arms replaced.

If you take care of your vehicle, it will take care of you.

Yeah, but for 6 years you got to fellate yourself thinking about how much your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and other “poors” on the road envy your car and how successful you are in life!

Was more interested in the wife fellating me…

My sister loves driving 500 series Benz. My BIL can’t fricking stand them. I told him to buy her a Lexus if she wants a luxury car but she insist on German. Pussy is undefeated.

Exactly. Cheap to buy expensive to maintain. Spent years at a supplier for OEMs. Germans and Japanese have very stringent specs. Chrysler at one time was a pretty high standard. What I found is it’s a combination of design and execution. Best design in world doesn’t overcome poor execution.

Meanwhile my Toyota sedan has had no issues in 10 years of ownership but you had to impress your neighbors or other parents in the school pickup line

I've put a combined 290k miles on two volkswagen cars with zero issues so far. Both jettas and both fairly abused.

No way in hell I'd let a dealership touch my car. Maintenance is all DIY on schedule with OEM parts and when I inevitably need a repair it will be either DIY or independent shop.

European cars are if you are militant about maintenance and get a stick shift and don't bend over for the dealer service.

I personally feel like you get a far nicer car for your money than with other brands.

(a) Yes they do suck. This is riduculous.

(b) have an independent shop check it out, dealers suck after warranty is over. They can probably find a used engine for less than 5k. Also I would hit VW/Audi corporate hard over this, they owe you some trade-in credit. Make a lot of noise. THis car is too new to fail.

This exact problem happened to my brother in law in Q5 3.0 with 120k miles. He wound up getting an offer from Carfax for $5-8k for it and they probably swapped in a used engine and sold it again.

Name checks out. So let me ask you, if you give your wife a luxury german car and she goes 5 years with “no hassle”, do you consider that a win?

Audi/Germans suck unless you lease them for 2 yrs then hand off the inevitable repairs to someone else.

In her defense, a 500 seris MB is the absolute best driving car I've ever been behind the wheel of. I've driven and owned a lot and a 500 in good shape is the clear winner. Especially the 1990s models before the Chrylser merger and SUV revolution.

I have never driven a 600 V12 nor a Rolls or Bentley so I may change my mind, but I doubt it.
