Yea looks like Obama would’ve been a real prick

I don't know why but I thought about GHW early today. What a great man. Prayers to the Bush family and thank you Mr. Bush for your service.

If you look at all the presidents in history who lost reelection, the one who least deserved to lose was HW.

RIP President GHW Bush. The man led a remarkable life and left a lasting legacy.

There is something cold about the relationship between George and Jeb. Would like to see an article about it.

It’s not hard to figure out...Jeb is the more polished of the two and the brother everyone assumed would ascend to the presidency. Only his brother ran and got elected first just about the time the Democrats went full retard and thus, GWB became a very polarizing figure. No doubt exacerbated by his mismanagement of the War on Terror and his general “frick It” approach to pretty much everything about middle ways thru his second term. The Bush name is only slightly less toxic than the Clinton name to a lot of American voters and Jeb is pissed because his bro fricked up his plans.

I am saddened about his passing, but he seems to have lived fairly fully up to the end, or at least I hope he did as much so.

HW Bush was a fantastic president. He had to deal with an inevitable small recession following the 80s boom, but it started recovering again while he was still in office.

The first gulf war was a crushing, surgical victory and he was a great CiC during that time. Berlin Wall came down during his term.

I'm not sure if he was a good POTUS or not, regardless, he lived an incredible life that people in our age won't be able to match in terms of life experience.

He was the last president who was a true leader or statesmen, imo. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he served in the military. While it is not disqualifying if you lack it, I think being in the military is a huge factor in being a true leader as executive
