Okay give me your money then. I’ll continue to funnel it into ITOT.

It just seems weird. I make a little over 120k and still have my job and the government is going to send me 2k. If I got the money, I will probably do something similar.

Interesting fact about the current $500 payments is that they don’t apply to dependents 17 and over. So if you have a high school junior/senior and a college student living at home right now they don’t qualify for squat.

You people who think this debt is real have always fascinated me. We pay it back by printing more money. As long as the USD is the foreign exchange currency of record, then we never have to pay any of it back.

They'll pay it back through inflation. If there are no consequences to printing money why not just give everyone a million dollars?

No, what you do is just fire up the money printer again and print enough to pay it off and then we're free and clear. That works, right?

Money printer goes brrrrrr...

You really need to read up on monetarism and it’s long term effects on an economy.

That won't pass and we can't afford it.

No fricking shite. If they send me $4,000 a month for 6 months I'm actually sending it back in an attempt to save America. No way we could afford that. Hell, we can't afford what they've already done but I think what has been done so far is probably necessary to avoid a depression. But another $24,000 per family? Hell no!

You don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s no inflation because the debt is denominated in its native currency. Additionally, inflation doesn’t play a factor until full employment levels are reached and GDP isn’t growing.

With this being an election year we are about to see a flood of proposed bills so they can all posture and virtue signal about how they are trying to help people.

I was speaking with a physician one day that had her home destroyed during Katrina. She had taken out a loan to rebuild since her insurance wasn't close to being able to pay for it.
