i'm not wild about the guy either. i'd imagine he's insufferable in person. but his pizza reviews build mad business for the places that get reviewed, even if they get an average like 7.2 review. kind of like guy fierei. he may be a douche, but if he puts your restaurant on his show, business goes through the roof. both have directly supported thousands of small restaurants. i have a friend from high school where guy showed their restaurant on diners, drive ins and dives and they're swimming in money now. i'd share the name but, you know, some idiot here would ruin it

Right from the horse’s mouth at Tower of Pizza in Metairie. We went soon after his review and it was slammed, owner said she hadn’t seen anything like it.
