Not asking for “universal basic income” for everyone.
So I have to ask, who doesn’t believe that someone who works 40 hpw shouldn’t be paid enough to afford the basics in life - Food and housing? And also the means to get to/perform the job?
The “minimum wage” should provide a minimum standard of living. No more, no less.

I am catholic but he really needs to stick to religion. Maybe if he would donate just a little bit of the money that he controls that would benefit many more people than relying on government to control what a person should make

Jesus says religion and government should be separate and spent much of his life rebuking organized religion and hierarchies.
To repay him, his followers established an organized religious hierarchy and intertwined it inseparable from government and at some points in history it was an actual government.
The Bible makes a point to show how absolutely amazed and blown away people were when Jesus said man’s government and policies have nothing to do with God.

I am sure his main focus is all the nations where people harvest food, manufacture goods ect for the richest nations and live in utter poverty.
However, it's still an unpopular message since poverty stricken laborers in much of the world is what props up our way of life, especially the exponentially increasing wealth of the upper echelon of investors/earners.
