That parable has nothing to do with the money itself. It's a metaphor preaching the gospel of god using the ubiquitous system of currency. The faith is the currency which you are to share with the world. By hiding your faith/currency you are doing a disservice to your "lord", god.

And what happens with the individual spends his basic wage on unnecessary things and can't afford to eat? Well we can't let him starve, so we still need food stamps. We can't let him go without shelter, so we still need section 8. We can't let the baby go hungry, so we need to pay all childcare expenses.

Jesus spent most of his life rebuking organized religion and it’s leaders.
The Catholic Church is one of the largest hypocritical organizations on this planet.
The pope lives in a giant walled city built with stolen monies which houses near limitless values and treasures and artworks and gold with some of the strictest immigration policies on earth and constantly tells other nations to welcome immigrants with open arms and stop hoarding wealth.

Much of that land is dedicated to schools and hospitals. And the vast majority of the great art from the last 500 years (especially during the Renaissance) was commissioned by the Church. Not only that...a lot of the art in the Vatican Museum was saved by the Church during the Napoleonic Wars and the World Wars.

How's that? The Jesuits are the largest order of priests in the entire Catholic church and were founded in the 1500's with the approval of the Pope.
